Rishard Bathiudeen released on bail

The court has granted bail to Parliamentarian Rishad Bathiudeen over the cases filed against him on the 2019 Easter Sunday attacks and the death of a domestic maid at his Colombo residence.

 

Bathiudeen who was remanded under the Prevention of Terrorism Act (PTA) over the Easter attacks has been granted bail by the Fort Magistrate’s Court today.

 

A case was later filed against him over the death of a 16-year-old girl, who was employed as a domestic maid at his Colombo residence.
