Relevant circular issued to provide additional allowance to teachers

Education Secretary Prof. Kapila Perera said that a circular has been issued to provide an additional allowance of Rs. 5,000 per month to teacher principals.

Accordingly, the money for the months of September and October will be given only to the teachers who teach online.

The Principals' Association, which is on strike, said it had decided to close the GCE Advanced Level examination by tomorrow.
