Reckless drivers on the highway will not be tolerated

While arresting two suspects including the first and the second owner of the car that was driven recklessly on the Southern Expressway the police have made it clear that unruly behaviour on the highway will not be tolerated.

 

SSP  Indika  Hapugoda said their unruly behaviour had caused disturbance and distraction to the fellow motorists who were driving along on the expressway and there are issues of ownership for the vehicle.

 

The owner had sold it to another person without a legal vehicle ownership transfer. The police will take action against the irregular handing over of the vehicle to another party.
