Plantation workers refrain from work in protest over wage issue

A major strike has been launched by the plantation workers today (January 5), over the daily wage issue.
The Vice President of the the Ceylon Workers Congress, Senthil Thondaman has staed that all plantation workers had refrained from reporting to work from 6.30 a.m. today.
The strike is being carried out as per the COVID-19 quarantine regulations and the workers are staying at home.
