One-day NIC service to resume from 22nd June

The department of registration of persons said that the  one-day service to issue National Identity Cards which was temporarily suspended owing to the COVID-19 pandemic situation, will resume on June 22 .

 

Certain restrictions will be implemented by the department to ensure the compliance to all guidelines set by the health authorities.

 

Those who are seeking to obtain the one day NIC service  must handover an application certified by the Grama Niladhari officer, to the NIC Unit at their respective divisional secretariats.

 

A reservation number must be obtained from the divisional secretariat within 10 working days of obtaining the application and  the public can visit the office of the department of registration of persons based on their reserved date.
