Oil and gas reserves from Sri Lanka

Energy Minister Udaya Gammanpila says Sri Lanka has identified $ 240 billion worth of oil and gas reserves.

 

He also said that the new draft constitution for the development of the oil and gas industry will be submitted to the Cabinet for approval.

 

Mr. Gammanpila further stated that Sri Lanka can utilize the full potential of these oil and gas resources to resolve its foreign debt sustainability issues.
