Notification to the public from the Director General of Health Services

Director General of Health Services Dr. Asela Gunawardena urged the public to take action to obtain any vaccine that is available without any choice.

He added that people who have not been vaccinated over the age of 60 should get vaccinated at the nearest vaccination center as soon as possible.

Asela Gunawardena further stated that 70% - 80% of the people who died due to covid infection were those who had not received any vaccine.
