Marriot Weligama operations halted with immediate effect due to Covid patient's visit

Chairman of the Weligama Municipal Council Rehan Jayawickreme stated that all operations of the Marriot Hotel in Weligama have been halted , as a COVID-19 infected patient had visited the hotel on the 3rd and 4th of October 2020.

 

A manager of the apparel factory in Minuwangoda is reported to have visited the hotel and consequently all staff memebers have been instructed to undergo the mandatory 14-days quarantine.

 

Furthermore, PCR tests will be conducted on all employees and in-house guests.
