Karu gets positive response from Switzerland, Germany and France

Karu Jayasuriya appealed to the international community to provide Sri Lanka with vaccines. and now  Switzerland, Germany and France is  to donate their surplus vaccines to Sri Lanka people.

 

The diplomatic community in Colombo has promised the former speaker that the consignments of  Covid-19 vaccines will arrive soon in Colombo.

According to reports, Germany is set to donate around 600,000 doses while Switzerland and France are also expected to donate a large consignment of vaccines.

 

Karu jayasoriya said that the country is facing a severe crisis and.all forces that hope for a prosperous future for the country must come forward together in order to overcome this crisis. All political parties and civil society organizations in this country have a huge responsibility in this regard.

 

He also mentioned that many parties publicly express their support for the Government’s commitment to fighting the COVID-19 pandemic. Leaders of a number of political parties, as well as a number of civil society organizations, have publicly affirmed their support.

 

All religious leaders, including the Maha Sangha, had intimated that they would extend their blessings to such a noble cause. These developments are very positive and create optimism for the country. said the former speaker.
