Inter province travel banned until May 30th - 8000 Patients a possibility

Traveling across province borders will be banned this week said, General Shavendra Silva. The travel restrictions will remain in place till May 30, and the ban may commence any time soon.

 

A number of sanctions on movements will be imposed and .all gatherings and functions will be canceled. A  complete country-wide lockdown.is unlikely but isolated lockdowns may continue.

 

A senior official from the Health Ministry told the media that they were expecting the number of infected patients to double in the coming days and may also reach a staggering 8000 cases reported in a single day.
