Showers will occur at times in the Galle, Matara, Kandy, Nuwara Eliya districts and in the Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces. Showers are also possible in the North Western Province.

Showers or thundershowers will occur at several places in the Eastern Province and in the Mullaitivu District during the evening, the Met Department said.

The Meteorological Department urges the public to take necessary measures to minimize the damage caused by lightning and wind.
