Focus on weather today

Thundershowers during the evening in many parts of the island.

 

Heavy showers of more than 100 mm are expected in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, North Western and Uva provinces and in some places in the Galle, Matara and Mannar districts.

 

Showers will occur in the Northern and Eastern provinces and in the Galle, Matara and Kalutara districts during the morning.

 

The general public is kindly requested to take adequate measures to minimize the dangers posed by temporary strong winds and lightning in those areas during thundershowers.
