Five Grama Niladharis have died of covid infection

According to the President of the Sri Lanka Grama Niladhari Association Sumith Kodikara, five Grama Niladharis have died of coronavirus and more than 500 have been infected with covid.

He was commenting on the role played by Grama Niladharis in the face of the covid epidemic.

He further stated that despite being infected with the covid 19 virus, many other Grama Niladharis have been quarantined.
