Duminda Silva appointed Chairman of the Housing Development Authority

Former parliamentarian Duminda Silva, who was released last month on a special presidential pardon after being sentenced to death in connection with the murder of Bharatha Lakshman Premachandra, has been appointed as the new chairman of the National Housing Development Authority.

President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa has approved the new appointment.

Secretary to the President Dr. PB Jayasundara has sent this letter of appointment to Keerthi Ranjith Abeysiriwardena, Secretary to the Ministry of Rural Housing Construction and Building Materials Industry Promotion.
