Corona is spreading In Colombo

The number of Corona infections have increased despite a aggressive vaccination programme been conducted in the city. According to National Operations Centre for the Prevention of COVID-19     reports 106 cases have been registered within the Colombo district.

 

However, based on the latest data released by, over 100 infections have been detected in the Colombo  district from a total of 313 people who tested  for the virus during this period

 

According to Johns Hopkins Corona resource center, 806,449 doses have been administrated and most of the doses have been administered to  people in the Colombo District.

 

About half the number of these  new patients have  been found from the Battharamulla area, Increased Movements Within the last few weeks the numbers of corona patients had significantly dropped and now officials are probing the cause of this sudden surge. The increased movements and lack of prevention may be among the causes said a public health inspector.
