Cabinet green-lights Bill to revise approved borrowing limit for 2022

 

The approval of the Council of Ministers has been received to publish the bill to amend the approved borrowing limit for the year 2022 in the Government Gazette and submit it to Parliament for approval.

The proposal was presented by President Ranil Wickremesinghe as the Minister of Finance, Economic Stability and National Policy.

On October 17, the Cabinet gave the green light to draft a bill to revise the approved borrowing limit for 2022.
