Cabinet approves revising tariff rates for rooftop solar panels

 

Minister of Power and Energy Mr. Kanchana Wijesekera says that the Council of Ministers approved the revision of tariffs for rooftop solar panels.

Accordingly, the existing duty rate of two floors is Rs. 22.00 and Rs. 15.50 will be revised as a flat rate. 37.00 for rooftop solar panels producing less than 500 KW.

Meanwhile Rs. Minister Wijesekera further stated in a tweet that 34.50 rupees will be charged for rooftop solar panels of more than 500 kilowatts.
