Mother, son killed as tipper truck collides with three-wheeler

 

A woman and her teenage son lost their lives in a road accident that occurred when a tipper and a three-wheeler collided at Alavwa, Walakumbura on the Colombo-Kurunegala main road.

The police said that a 42-year-old woman and her 18-year-old son, both residents of Boralasgamuwa area, died in the accident.

The husband and another son of the deceased woman who was driving the tricycle were injured and admitted to Polgahawela Hospital and they have been transferred to Kurunegala Hospital for further treatment.
