CPC denies Dayasiri’s claims on misappropriations in fuel imports

 

The Ceylon Petroleum Statutory Corporation yesterday categorically denied the allegations made by Member of Parliament Mr. Dayasiri Jayasekara regarding the misuse of fuel.

In a press release, the CPC dismissed the MP's remarks as "baseless" and "incitement to hatred" and said it intended to take legal action against him.

The state-owned corporation emphasized that it will follow the procurement process approved by the government and the prescribed tender procedure while importing fuel to Sri Lanka.
