Ban on "Angampora" to be revoked

Minister Namal Rajapakse has mentioned that he aims to establish a national center for local martial arts and folk sports training.

 

Further Minister is concentrating his efforts on releasing a gazette notification to abolish the ban on Angampora (local martial arts), which was forbidden during the colonial era in October 1818 but has been practiced for over 202 years.
