Attention to the release of corpses piled up in hospitals

Health Minister Dr. Keheliya Rambukwella has instructed the Director General of Health Services to look into the legal status of unidentified bodies that have been piled up in certain hospitals in the country for some time and to take immediate action to remove them.

The Minister directed the health officials to repair the dilapidated gymnasiums and cold storages in some hospitals.

The Minister further said that all possible steps should be taken to prevent the unnecessary accumulation of dead bodies in hospitals.
