Assuarance from the Minister of Finance regarding the payment of teacher salary anomalies

Minister of Finance Basil Rajapaksa said that he would assure the teachers 'and principals' unions that one third of the salary anomalies would be paid in one lump sum instead of in three stages.

 

Commenting on this, the General Secretary of the Ceylon Teachers Union Joseph Stalin said that the Teachers 'Principals' Trade Unions hope to issue a joint statement regarding the above decision.
