Another 73,000 doses of Pfizer have been received to the island

Another 73,000 US-made Pfizer shots were brought to Sri Lanka this morning.

The consignment, which weighed 445 kilograms, was airlifted from Amsterdam in the Netherlands to Doha in Qatar and then flown to Katunayake Airport at 2.10 this morning by a Qatar Airways cargo plane.

Steps were taken to transport the vaccine to the Central Warehousing Complex in Colombo.
