A very rare natural phenakite gemstone is found in Sri Lanka

A very rare natural phenakite gemstone has been found in Sri Lanka.

 

Owned by a Beruwala gem merchant, this gemstone is the largest phoenixite gemstone found in the country, according to the National Gem and Jewelery Authority.

 

Weighing in at 616.9 carats, the value of this gem is about one billion rupees.
