Colombo Stock Exchange declares market holiday on Friday

On June 30, 2023, the government of Sri Lanka declared a Special Bank Holiday. This decision was announced through a special gazette notification issued by Prime Minister Dinesh Gunawardena, who also serves as the Minister of Public Administration, Home Affairs, Provincial Councils & Local Government. The holiday was declared under Section 10(1) of the Holidays Act, No. 29 of 1971.
