‘Ape Jana Bala Party’ leader among victims in Beliatta shooting

Saman Perera, leader of the ‘Ape Jana Bala Party’ is among the five persons who were killed in the shooting incident reported in Beliatta this morning.

 

He was arrested and released in 2022 for aiding and abetting a suspect connected to a murder committed in Kudawella.

 

He also faced allegations over the murder of the Balapitiya Pradeshiya Sabha chairman and his son.
