G7 nations agree strict measures on burning coal
Leaders of the seven major industrialized nations, UK, US, Canada, Japan, France, Germany and Italy have agreed to take strict measures on coal power stations in accordance to the steps taken against climate change.
This decision is made over the discussions made on coal at the giants' meeting at Cornwall.
With this, the G7 hope to end funding new coal generation in developing countries but fund them enough to stop using the fuel.
As coal is the world's dirtiest fuel in the world, environmentalists consider that ending using it is a major step to prevent climate change worldwide.
