Tally of polls-related complaints surpasses 1,000

A total of 127 fresh complaints related to the upcoming presidential election were received bringing the total number of complaints to the 1,000 mark.

 

According to the Election Commission, a total 1,052 cases have been reported during the period from July 31 to August 25.

 

Out of the 1,052 complaints, the National Centre for Election Complaint Management received 472, while the District Centres for Election Complaint Management received 580.

 

All complaints were categorised as breaches of laws, with four incidents of violence being reported.
