Cop commits suicide after allegedly killing three in Moneragala

A police constable attached to Karadugala Police Station in Inginiyagala, Moneragala has committed suicide after reportedly killing another police constable, a woman, and a 17-year-old girl.

 

Police said that a 33-year-old policeman was found shot dead at his residence in the Ingiliyana early this morning. 

 

Later, a 54-year-old woman and a 17-year-old girl in the same area were also found shot dead.

 

Police said, a police constable on duty at Karadugala Police Station also found shot himself with a firearm.

 

It is suspected that all three murders were committed by the police officer who then took his own life.
