Ven. Balangoda Kassapa Thera arrested for protesting near Parliament

Venerable Balangoda Kassapa Thera, who was preparing to launch a fast near Parliament with a protest sign board against the proposed Electricity Act, was arrested this afternoon by the Thalangama Police.

 

They said the Thera was arrested by some police officers who came to the place less than ten minutes after he began the fast.
