The gold prices are reduced in the local gold market

The local gold merchants state that gold prices have dropped by nearly Rs. 5000 within a week in Sri Lanka.
According to that, in the local market, the price of a 22-karat sovereign has been slashed to Rs. 147,000 today (June 02).
On Friday, last week, a 22-karat sovereign was sold at Rs. 152,600. A 24-karat gold sovereign sold at Rs. 165,000 last week has dropped the price to 159,000 today.
