3 teenagers are accused of the murder of a father

For being accused of murdering a 43-year-old man, three youths have been arrested in Mirusivil, Jaffna.

 

The two teenagers of 17 and 19 have been identified as the two sons of the recently dead, Shivsothi Shivakumar. The other of the three, was identified as a friend of the two youths.

 

The Kodikamam Police arrested the trio last night, following investigations of the information received of a body found in a property.

 

The investigations reveal that Shivakumar has lived alone leaving his wife and two children.

 

"The troubles inflicted upon them by him have forced them to take this action," his younger son has confessed.

 

The deceased’s eldest son and his friend who had visited the hospital with cuts and injuries after the incident reported to the police that Shivakumar had been murdered by a group of individuals.
