Five of one family in hospital-Pet Dog waiting for them

 In another shocking episode in Gerandiella fatal bus accident that caused the death of 23 passengers and serious injuries to several others, five members of one family have been among the victims.

 

They had been travelling by the ill-fated bus to visit a relative in Kurunegala.

 

The Mother of three children Gayathri Kaushalya (35) died in the accident and her husband’s lower limbs, have been amputated due to serious fractures, rendering him disabled. He is at present under further treatment at Nuwara Eliya General Hospital.

 

Their two sons are at present under treatment at the Nuwara Eliya General Hospital while their six month old infant child at Peradeniya Sirimavo Bandaranaike Children’s hospital.

 

Meanwhile their pet dog, left all alone at their home, may have had an instinctive feeling, that its family had faced a disaster, as it was seen gazing forlornly at the road in the hope of their return.
