Special Police committee visits Gerandi Ella scene of accident

The committee of inquiry appointed by Acting IGP Priyantha Weerasuriya to look into the cause of the accident at Gerandi Ella in Kotmale, carried out an inspection of the scene and the wreckage of the bus lying at Kotmale Police Station yesterday. 

 

The committee comprising Senior DIG Ajith Rohana, DIG Ruwan Gunasekara and several other officials held a meeting at the police station after their visit to the scene. 

 

Nuwara Eliya SSP Anuruddha Hakmana joined the inspection and the subsequent meeting at the police station. 

 

They said the police chief has called for a comprehensive report on the incident.
