Landslide danger in Norton Bridge, school closed

A hill near the Sinhala Maha Vidyalaya in Vidulipura, Norton Bridge, is fa ing the risk of a possible landslide, leading to the temporary closure of the school. 

 

The Principal, Suanthi Malani Kumari, informed the media that the closure was due to recent rockfalls in the area. She explained that the school is located at the foot of a hill that has developed cracks, indicating a potential landslide threat. 

 

The principal added that the decision to close the school was made in consultation with the Zonal Director, and further action will be taken based on his instructions.
