Street food vendor arrested for verbally harassing foreigner

The street food vendor who attempted to charge a foreign customer an exorbitant amount for a Kottu Roti and verbally harassed him, was arrested by the Police.

 

The altercation unfolded when the vendor allegedly demanded a staggering Rs. 1,900 for a Kottu Roti from the foreign customer. When questioned about the inflated price, the vendor reportedly resorted to harassment tactics, escalating the situation.

 

The incident, caught on camera and widely circulated on social media, has drawn attention to issues of overcharging and harassments faced by tourists.
