Aswesuma welfare benefits

The Department of Government Information (DGI) has announced that in the first phase of the Aswesuma welfare benefits scheme, 1,792,265 eligible beneficiaries have been selected to receive benefits. 

 

 

Among them, 1,588,835 beneficiaries who have not faced objections or filed appeals will receive the payments. Additionally, 84,374 beneficiaries who have appealed for an upgrade to a category with more benefits will continue to receive payments under their existing categories until an evaluation is completed. 

 

 

For the 119,056 Aswesuma beneficiaries against whom objections were raised, the Government will continue to pay them welfare benefits until the protests are reviewed.
