No water tariff revision this year - Thondaman

Water Supply and Estate Infrastructure Development Minister Jeevan Thondaman assured that there will be no revision of the water tariff this year.

 

While addressing a media briefing he said that a recent water tariff amendment took place in August 2023 and that the rumors spreading regarding a proposed water tariff formula were false.

 

"I assure that there will be no water tariff revision this year, but the National Water Supply and Drainage Board (NWSDB), along with the Asian Development Bank (ADB), is going to introduce a cost recovery formula for a tariff adjustment," he said.
