Another student injured in Badulla KDU bus accident dies

Another student who was receiving treatment at the hospital after a bus carrying students of the Sir John Kotelawala Defence University (KDU) overturned on November 1 has died yesterday, police said.

 

The 24-year-old victim, Kayilanathan Sinthujan, a resident of Kantharmadam, Jaffna, passed away while receiving treatment at the University Hospital KDU (UHKDU).

 

A former student of Jaffna Hindu College, he had sat for the G.C.E. Advanced Level (A/L) examination in the stream of Physical Science (Maths).

 

The incident on November 1 had claimed the lives of two female students from the Southern Campus of the General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University (KDU) and injured 39 others when a bus carrying over 40 passengers toppled on Dunhinda Road in Badulla.
