A suspect is arrested with several ornaments in Horana area

A person is arrested by a team of officers attached to the Western Wildlife Zone for keeping several ornaments made of ivory and a vial of tiger oil.

 

The raid was carried on Horana area based on information received by the Wildlife Conservation Department.

 

With the suspect, there were a talisman, a bracelet, and three rings made of ivory.

 

The suspect and the goods were produced before the Horana Magistrate's Courts and later and the suspect was released on a surety bail of Rs. 500,000.

 

According to the police, another suspect is to be arrested and the case is scheduled to be heard again on May 25.
