Multiple deaths in separate road accidents

Five people were reported dead in separate road accidents reported from Maho, Manampitiya, Balangoda and Silawathura, police said.

 

In Maho, a couple from Weliweriya died when a van crashed on to a tree. In Balangoda, a 1-year and 7-months old boy was fatally run over by his father while reversing a lorry. The man was arrested.

 

Furthermore, an 81-year-old pedestrian in Makulpotha died after being hit by a motorcycle in Manampitiya. 

 

Meanwhile, in Silawathura, a 59-year-old motorcyclist from Mannar died after colliding with a cow.
