Royal Madras Yacht Club launches first Chennai-Sri Lanka sailing expedition

 The Royal Madras Yacht Club, together with IndSri Ferry Services Lanka Pvt Ltd, today launched the first international sailing expedition from Chennai to Sri Lanka, lasting seven days.

 

This seven-day journey, commencing on March 31 and concluding on April 7, will bring together seasoned sailors and enthusiasts, promoting maritime adventure and cross-border camaraderie.

 

The expedition aims to strengthen maritime ties between India and Sri Lanka while showcasing the spirit of sailing. Participants will navigate challenging waters, experiencing the thrill of open-sea sailing. This initiative highlights the club’s commitment to fostering sailing culture and encouraging international expeditions. 

 

The event is expected to inspire future maritime collaborations and boost regional sailing tourism.
