Will Ranjan get a national list seat?

There is speculation that Ranjan Ramanayaka would get an invitation for a national list seat from fellow parliamentarian, SJB National list MP Harin Fernando Harin said that he will soon make a statement n Parliament about his sacrifice.

 

“I will not reveal what I am going to do now but will make a special statement in Parliament soon and will implement my decision on behalf of former MP Ranjan Ramanayake,”

 

Harin Fernando is known for making bold decisions and prior to this he resigned from Parliament and stood for provincial council election for the Uva province which was very much a boost for the UNP at that time.

 

Meanwhile he said that he is willing to take up the challenge imposed by a ruling party MP from Mathara.

 

 “A Government MP from Matara District posted a challenge and I will make a political decision on behalf of Mr. Ramanayake in May,” he said. While the issue of Ramanayaka’s seat was been debated a  ruling party MP from Mathara quarried why a MP from the SJB  camp would not resign and make room for Mr Ramanayaka to reenter Parliament.
