Welikanda Pradeshiya Sabha Head suspended ?

Governor of North Central Province has issued an extraordinary gazette notification  to remove ued removing Chairman of Welikanda Pradeshiya Sabha Priyantha Kavindu Abeysuriya from his post immediately.

The said gazette notification has been issued on April 1.

 

As per the   gazette notification, an inquiry report submitted by High Court Judge (Retired) Saman Wickramarachchi states  that the Chairman has  committed offences in terms of Section 185(1) of Pradeshiya Sabha Act, No. 15 of 1987.
