Announcement on isolation orders (updated)

The travel restrictions imposed from leaving the Western Province will be lifted at midnight tomorrow (15), according to the Department of Government Information.

 

Meanwhile, Maradana, Fort, Pettah, Slave Island, and Dam Street police areas in the Colombo District will be declared isolated areas from Monday (16), in addition to the 12 police areas currently under isolation.

 

Along with the five areas in the Colombo District, the Kelaniya police area in the Gampaha District will be under isolation from Monday (16).

 

The new isolation orders will come into effect from 5.00 am on Monday.

 

Meanwhile, the isolation orders in the Gampaha District, except for several selected areas including the Kelaniya police area, will be lifted at 5.00 am tomorrow (15).

 

Accordingly, Negombo, Ja-Ela, Ragama, Kadawatha, Wattala, and Peliyagoda of the Gampaha District will continue to be under isolation until further notice.

 

These areas will be joined by the Kelaniya police area from Monday.

 

In addition, the isolation orders imposed on the following police areas of the relevant districts will also be lifted at 5.00 am tomorrow, the National Operations Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO).

Kuliyapitiya police area

 

Kalutara District:


Horana police area


Ingiriya police area


Wekada-Western Grama Niladari Division

 

Kegalle District:


Ruwanwella police area


Mawanella police area
