The 20/20 World Cup Cricket Tournament begins today in the United Arab Emirates

The Indian Cricket Board (ICB) has decided to hold the 20/20 World Cup Cricket Tournament in the United Arab Emirates, which officially begins today.

 

The tournament will be held from October 17 to November 14 at three stadiums in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah.

 

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has given the Indian Cricket Board the opportunity to decide on the venue of the tournament.

 

Eight countries including Sri Lanka will compete in the preliminary round of the tournament which starts today.
