Supreme Court stays HC trail against Champika Ranawaka

 

The Supreme Court today issued a restraining order suspending the High Court trial against Mr. Patali Champika Ranawaka, Member of Parliament, in connection with the 2016 car accident in Rajagiri until March 15, 2023.

In 2016, the former minister's car collided with a motorcycle in Rajagiriya, causing life-threatening injuries to Mr. Sandeep Sampath Gunawardena. and fabricating evidence related to the accident.
