Supply of electricity, distribution of fuel and health related services declared essential services

In an extraordinary gazette announcement, President Ranil Wickremesinghe has declared all services related to electricity supply, fuel distribution and health-related services as essential public services.

It states all services related to supply or distribution of electricity, petroleum products and fuel and any details required or required to be done in connection with maintenance and acceptance.
