Sri Lanka wins first ODI

Sri Lanka Cricket won the first ODI against South Africa by 14 runs at the Premadasa Stadium, Colombo.

Batting first, Sri Lanka scored 300 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in 50 overs with South Africa scoring 301 runs to win the match.

South Africa were able to score only 286 runs for the loss of 6 wickets.

The man of the match award was won by Avishka Fernando and the second ODI will be played on Saturday.
