School girl kidnapped in Kandy found abandoned at the entrance of another school

A female student of a renowned school in Kandy was kidnapped from outside her residence this morning (September 15), by an unidentified group in a van.

 

However, the said group had dropped her off in front of another school located in Kandy after 3 hours.

 

The above student who was abducted, had stepped out of her house at  around 06.45 a.m. in order to collect a facemask from a house located nearby.

 

Following her abduction, the parents of the 12 year old student had lodged a complaint with the Police and  the investigations were conducted.

 

The police had arrived at her house and traced the signals emitted from her phone after taking  a call to her mobile phone. 

 

As per the investigations,  it was found that the abducted student was being transported between many locations in Kandy.

 

The student had been found abandoned at the entrance of another school at around 9.45 a.m. 

 

The group of suspects involved in the said abduction  has not been identified as yet, and further investigations are underway.
